By preparing projects for divestment to other companies for completion, we help accelerate the clean energy transition while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and high industry standards.

    Research has shown that offshore wind structures can act as artificial reefs, attracting diverse marine species and promoting biodiversity. At Hexicon, we aim to ensure our floating wind platforms provide similar ecological benefits.     Minimized Seabed Disruption
    One of the key advantages of floating offshore wind technology is its minimal disruption to the seabed. Unlike bottom-fixed turbines that require invasive pile driving, which can disturb marine mammals through high-frequency vibrations and noise, our floating platforms are anchored using mooring lines or gravity-based anchors. This approach reduces seabed disturbance, safeguarding sensitive marine environments and helping to protect the habitats of species such as dolphins and whales.

    Supporting Marine Protected Areas and Sustainable Fishing
    Our projects can also contribute to the protection of marine areas by serving as de facto marine protected zones. The presence of floating wind farms restricts activities like trawling, creating safe spaces for marine life to thrive. These protected areas can act as nurseries for fish populations, leading to healthier fish stocks and supporting more sustainable fishing practices in surrounding waters.
